Values
How we intend to work.
The values of Housing Treasury Services reflect how we want to develop our services, work with housing associations and share treasury information.
They are intended to keep the organisation focused on practical needs, open communication and services that are useful to the people and organisations they are designed to support.
- Work together We believe useful services are developed through collaboration. We want to listen to housing associations, understand practical treasury challenges and learn from the people who use the tools and services we develop.
- Listen and understand Different housing associations have different structures, systems, resources and priorities. We will seek to understand those differences rather than assume that one approach works for every organisation.
- Respect We want our relationships to be based on professionalism, consideration and respect for the experience, responsibilities and perspectives of the people and organisations we work with.
- Inclusive and accessible Treasury information and technology should be as clear and accessible as practical. We will consider different users, abilities and organisational needs as services are designed and developed.
- Be clear and transparent We will aim to communicate clearly about information, assumptions, calculations, methodology, service capabilities and limitations, including what is operational and what remains in development.
- Build trust Trust has to be supported by how information is handled, how services operate and how openly decisions and limitations are communicated. We want responsible practice to be part of the service from the outset.
- Be practical Our focus is on tools, information and services that help with real treasury work. Development should solve useful problems, reduce unnecessary complexity and support clearer treasury oversight.
- Share knowledge Useful treasury information should help people understand as well as calculate. We want to share practical knowledge, explain methodology where appropriate and make information easier to use.
- Keep improving Housing treasury, technology and organisational needs continue to change. We will learn from experience and feedback and use that learning to improve the services we provide.

Values should be reflected in practice.
As Housing Treasury Services develops, these values are intended to guide both what we build and the way we work with the housing sector.
